I'll start off by saying Steve, the head physical therapist, is excellent, he was very knowledgeable and always left me feeling better than when I showed up and gave me great exercises to do on my own.......BUT if you're not working with him directly, watch out. I went there about 5 times, and a couple of the times I went I was assigned an 18 year old girl, that was a senior in high school, who was in training. I don't mean to be rude to her, but she knew WAY LESS about my hip injury than I did. She had no idea what stretches she should run me through, where to massage my hip and back, and she kept having to leave to ask, or look up what we should be doing. If I'm going to a specialist I expect them to know more about my issues than I do. Why pay money to be served by someone who doesn't know anything? I was very disappointed in these visits. Additionally, I scheduled an appointment, showed up the day of, and there was a visiting doctor there. Because she didn't know what problems I had going into the appointment, half of my visit was her trying to re-figure out what was wrong. It was like paying for the initial consult all over again. Very disappointed in my overall experience. Once again, Steve was great, if you're going to go to this place, make sure it's him working on you.

I do not like Peak very much. I went to Peak on two occasions, one for my back and one for my ankle. The one for my ankle was when I was young and all they ever did was ice it and ultrasound and tell me to write the abc's. They never gave me any other exercises to do and honestly, my ankle really didn't get any stronger until I was in high school and I sprained it really bad and did my own exercises to help it get stronger. The second time I went in for my back all they ever did was massage it, ice it and do ultrasound. Again, the only exercise they ever did was tell me to do planks and they only had me do it in the clinic once. Once again, my back didn't really start getting better until I became a personal trainer and learned what exercises were beneficial to helping the back become stronger. While I was there, I only saw my physical therapist like five times between the two injuries. The other times I only dealt with the aides. I decided to become a physical therapy aide and so I asked if I could sit in the clinic and observe for two weeks. What I noticed, the aides were doing everything, which is illegal. They were doing things that the physical therapist should have been doing. Now, I go to a different physical therapist for recovery from having a baby and I see her EVERY time. Sometimes the meeting with her is brief, but I always see her. That is how it should be. The aide isn't the only one doing things. If I need some massaging, the physical therapist does it, unlike the aides here. I am very dissatisfied with Peak and wish I would have found a different place to go to physical therapy sooner.
